Are there good free blue print (for home additions) sites tha you know of?

Do you have any good ideas for building a greenhouse?

Is there a simple way to figure out the details of a solar heated home?

I am looking for some basic guidelines to building a passive solar heated & cooled home.I understand about south facing windows but how much thermal mass do I need? Can I use underground pipes for cooling. What about auto-open greenhouse windows? Any details would be appreciated.
I am interested in Passive solar heating. not electrical heating. Thermal mass.

Are there any greenhouses I can visit in Los Angeles?

I’m wanting to visit a Greenhouse (Just to look around at all the plants and things, I love that kind of stuff) in the Los Angeles area. Preferably closer to Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, etc… but as long as it’s within the LA area, I’m fine with it.

Any suggestions of locations?

Has anyone ever built there own hobby greenhouse?

What is the best plan? Can old windows be used? Any other advice would be helpful.

Wouldn’t there be a warming trend DIRECTLY related to warming our homes, driving our cars, and whatever else??

Theres all the talk about greenhouse gases. That is to say we’re burning fuel which releases gases into the upper atmosphere. When those gases build up they trap in sunlight causing even more warming.

BUT what about the DIRECT EFFECT??!!

Clearly we are digging up coal, gas, oil and setting them on fire for heat, car fuel jet fuel. All this is happening in small pockets throughout the world. The fuel is clearly warmer than it was before we burned, and thus they should have an effect of making our atmosphere just a little bit warmer???

Do we now by what proportion this could be contributing to global warming?

Are there any greenhouses that are warmed entirely by geothermal means?

I am curious as to the viability of greenhouses in colder climates producing food year round that are heated entirely by geothermal. My understanding is that geothermal can provide heat to about 54 degrees f. So, a follow-up question would be, are there food crops that will produce at those temperatures?
