Do you have any good ideas for building a greenhouse?

Any know of an easy way to rid my home of aggrevating, goofy lady bugs?

I have many lady bugs crawling around inside my home. I don’t hate the critters,,I dislike them whole bunch!! I know they are good for plant life,,but why do they think my home is a greenhouse? Ever step on those rice crispy sounding things in the dark? Anyway I read via Internet about a powder they croak in. It acts like quick sand. I experimented with baby powder and baking soda,,stupid critters just climbed out white!! Any info would be appreciated.

Can a home made single glass greenhousebe in use in winter with a single electric heater?

My new home made greenhouse can be kept at 20-25C easily now with the heater dial. Will it do the same in cold weather? Or a snowstorm ? Will I loose my little transplants? Should I put heat under the bins now, or wait and see?
Margaret C,

Would you like to have a nuclear power plant near your home to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions?

If you had to choose between getting your electric power from an existing coal-burning power plant 100 miles (160 km) away from your home or having a new nuclear power plant built within 5 miles (8 km) of your home, which would you choose and why? Don’t forget the resistive power losses that occur in power transmission lines, causing power to be wasted the farther the power plant is from the customer.

is having a greenhouse at the home garden bad for global warming?

Anyone ever created a Greenhouse Garden Home?

Two months ago a guy named Brent asked this question. You call it a resolved question. Well, no one answered him with any help. I’m interested in the same topic. My e-mail is katydoesmuch@yahoo.com. Brent, let’s talk, share ideas. I live in Texas.
Please extend the question 4 more days.

What are some simple steps or creative ideas that people can take at home and work to combat global warming?

Global warming is not only one of the most threatening environmental problems, but one of the greatest challenges facing all of humanity. Danger signs are surfacing worldwide as temperatures increase (the last ten years have been the hottest years ever recorded causing glaciers and the polar ice caps to melt, coastal areas to flood and storms to become more severe). If left unchecked, global warming will continue to have a profound impact on our planet that will eventually cause catastrophic results. Fortunately, there are things each of us can do. Buildings — including our homes — are major contributors to greenhouse gases they’re responsible for up to 40% of all energy and resource use and approximately 1/3 of greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming.

We are thinking of building a home “greenhouse” – need advice?

Wondering if you have any advice on problems to look for when constructing a Home “Greenhouse” – We are considering attaching a fairly large greenhouse to the back of our Southwest facing home.

The goal is to grow veggies and perhaps even save on heating costs for the winter months using passive solar.

If you have any ideas, suggestions, experience or links to good websites for construction and maintenance of a home greenhouse we would love to hear it.

We live in southern Michigan where the winters can become very cold, but the location of the Greenhouse would be on the South/west exposure of the home that gets at least 5-6 hours of intense sunlight during the shortest days of winter.
During the rest of the year it gets anywhere from 7-9 hours of sunlight.

Any insight would be most appreciated

Thanks
