‘Greenhouse’

i cant find pariffin any where.is it ok to use the oil from my home heating tank,i think its called kerosene oil.

I’m putting the plans together to build an attached greenhouse that will sit on the south side of my house. It will be a 12′ x 9′ x 10′ structure. I’m using another smaller plan that I saw someone use and modifying it a little bigger. It’s pretty basic. 2, 12′ wide by 10′ tall east and west walls and 1, 9′ wide 10′ tall south wall. The north end will be attached to the side of the house. The roof will rise will rise up an additional 4 foot.

My question is, do I need to use 2×4’s for all of the studs to ensure a firm structure? Smaller houses use smaller wood but I don’t want it to crumble down.

I’m not denying that greenhouse gases don’t trap radiation but no one says anywhere HOW they do.
Also what are the “greenhouse gases”? Is that just another way of saying CFCs?

There was a show, I think it was on Discovery Channel, that featured a home built entirely of recycled materials. We have some interest in homes that are composed of recycled or natural materials. If anyone has any info on these types of homes, we would love to hear from you!

It coincides with a surge of anger among environmentalists over the weak pledges on climate change that emerged from last week’s G8 summit.” And boy, you know, you can talk about Bush all you want, but he stuck it to Putin and stuck it to the G8 on the Kyoto protocol. It’s effectively dead. He effectively just wiped it out; made them wipe it out. Now, here’s why biofuels will lead to increased greenhouse gas emissions. It takes too much land to plant the proper plants for biofuels. In order to get the land you have to burn down forests. And when you burn forests, the carbon dioxide that these forests normally scrub from the air will remain. This, according to environmental lore, will contribute to global warming. That’s all hocus-pocus as well. I mean, CO2, we exhale it. It’s not a pollutant.

I have outdoor plants that I need to winterize. Because of indoor cats and poisonious plants, I have to create a new plant home. do not have basement or any other enclosed area.

Having only just discovered this interesting new feature, and having read some of the answers given about climate change I thought I’d ask my own. Why are some people so against reducing greenhouse gas emissions? Surely it makes complete sense to use as little energy as possible and to generate energy by means which are renewable and do not rely on fuel of which there is only a finite amount? I mean, surely that makes perfect economic sense? Whether or not you dispute the science of climate change (and from my experience that vast majority of genuine scientists do not) I can see no logical argument against trying to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

How much greenhouse gases do we produce on average in our homes from turing the lights on, t.v. on and standby – anything electrical? statistics and facts from links would help.

Ok i found a greenhouse at home depot i am looking to buy and that costs $2,200, now i need help on the rest of the mathematics.

Now I need proper soil, for like the proper dirt, about enough seeds to make a business off of for a living, I need many seeds but greenhouse I found is only 8×16 so i have to work with that, and I have a budget cap of $10,000 to start with and I need enough money to make a money with every month, if someone could give me the price of everything needed and nessicary just for two months that would be great (an air conditioning and heating source included).

I would like to build a home made mini greenhouse for my daughter. can anyone help???
