ok since we moved into this house 7 years ago my mom has been promised a greenhouse from my dad and over the years he has forgotten and my mom wants 1 more than ever so im gonna build her 1. the construction im using is simple ill use 2×4s (its going to be 6×8 feet) every 2 feet ill drop a 2×4 in place they will be burried 18- 24 inches deep depending if the spot i am using has soil or clay(i live in texas) on the walla i plan to use this sticky stuff from the home depot they are sold in rolls of 24 inchesx 100 feet its made of plastic it will not just stick i will use staples from a staple gun i will do this to the incide and outside so theres a wall of warmth bieng trapped inside incase of a cloudy day (also going to be a solar greenhouse)will this greenhouse support plant life here in texas its 10 degrees to 107 degrees

And I’m not talking about one of these, http://www.igcusa.com/New/rhino-greenhouse.jpg , but one of those kinds of homes made from clay, bamboo, etc. So basically one of those all-natural, eco-friendly homes that are just now being built. Are they super expensive?

My question is, how can we be sure there are not dead people in out Mcdonalds’ and other fast food “burgers”?

I wonder if the younger generation knows that we’ve been imposing stricter regulations on industry since the 70’s . Yes , 70’s my younger friends . The manufacturing industry has spent Billions in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas . Many of you never saw or experienced just how much carbon emissions there was prior to then .
So , I’m going to be LIBERAL for a little bit and demand CHANGE . This ’surge’ in tighter restrictions has gone on long enough . We’ve given this effort 30 years to show results and what do we have to show for it ? Well , according to the scientists that my liberal friends always like to quote , it’s much worse today than 30 years ago . And in my temporary status as a progressive liberal , I not only want change , I demand change . We need to bring or green movement ‘troops’ home . Back to their families . The rest of the world hates us for leading the way for the past 30 years , and all we’re doing is creating more hatred .

I say first we start with non-binding resolutions just to show we’re serious . Then we protest in the streets . We’ll say bad things about our own country and our leaders , and I’m sure THAT is what will help us regain our status in the world . China and Russia are mad enough at us and they’re never gonna listen . We have no good results , and only negative results . We’re creating more terrorists because of it and it’s time to re-deploy .
Then we must impeach Al Gore to regain world respect . It’s the only way , right !!

Bring our green movement ‘troops’ home NOW !!

Mordent – That’s the problem with re-writing history and websites . I not only lived in a highly polluted area , I also worked in that industry providing consultations and products to reduce the emissions . We’re coming to a point in our country where the 30 and under folks have no chance of really knowing our true history . And I don’t need no stinkin websites . .. . I was there !!

Going on my first spring/summer season in my new home and I would like to make a nice little garden in the back yard with both some flowers and veggies.
Is it better to start your seeds inside in like a makeshift greenhouse (out of egg cartons, for example)?
I live in the Chicagoland/NW Indiana area. What are the best flowers and veggies to grow?
Around when should I start preparing?
Any other thoughts or tips?

Recenty, I seen something on TV about a power panel that they can install that will power your whole house without the contributing to greenhouse gases.
