‘gases’
How do the greenhouse gases trap radiation?
I’m not denying that greenhouse gases don’t trap radiation but no one says anywhere HOW they do.
Also what are the “greenhouse gases”? Is that just another way of saying CFCs?
How did congressman Brian Baird D-WA vote on the latest bill regarding the greenhouses gases?
or what ever it was called the barely passed the house a few days ago.
Can we reduce carbon greenhouses gases by?
If we stopped producing soft drink beverages such as soda, wouldn’t that help reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere? Soda is made with carbon gas being added to the beverage. That gas is only there for the fizz. Why not stop using it to reduce carbon gas into the atmosphere.
How could increased levels of greenhouse gases cause anything other than global warming?
1) First off, does anyone dispute that humans are producing greenhouse gases?
2) If this is accepted, then is there any dispute that they’re going anywhere other than into the atmosphere and / or atmospheric concentrations of GHG’s are increasing?
3) If it’s agreed that we are adding GHG’s to the atmosphere, then is it also agreed that they are contributing to global warming?
4) If not, then what’s the difference between manmade GHG’s and the natural ones that ensure this planet has a habitable temp?
DO THESE PRODUCE HARMFUL GREENHOUSE GASES?
forest fires
livestock
homes heated w/ solar panels
dead fish on the shore
sand storms
sail boats
homes heated w/ electricity
homes heated w/ natural gas
rice paddies
cares, trucks, and buses
sawmills
slaughterhouses
volcanic eruptions
swamps
garbage dumps and landfills
hurricanes and tornadoes
automotive plant shops
oil spills
car assembly plants
crop dusters
IF THEY DO PRODUCE HARMFUL G.H.G., what kind of greenhouse gases do they emit?
PLEASE HELP ME thnx
How will increased greenhouse gases affect weather and temperature patterns?
I need a lot of detail (please!)
What spatial and temporal pattern of warming do you predict should be occuring due to the increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere? Please explain.
Why did John McCain say that we must reduce greenhouse gases?
Why did John McCain say that we must reduce green house gases? I thought the official Republican position was that there was no such thing as global warming. Republicans please explain this.
Here’s the link to his words :
http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/News/Speeches/872473dd-9ccb-4ab4-9d0d-ec54f0e7a497.htm
And here are his words:
“There is such a thing as international good citizenship. We need to be good stewards of our planet and join with other nations to help preserve our common home. The risks of global warming have no borders. We and the other nations of the world must get serious about substantially reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the coming years or we will hand off a much-diminished world to our grandchildren. We need a successor to the Kyoto Treaty, a cap-and-trade system that delivers the necessary environmental impact in an economically responsible manner. We Americans must lead by example…”
Does the YA Republican army knows more than McCain?
Is it possible to “trap” or buy greenhouse gases individually and release them into greenhouses?
I’m doing a science fair project, determining which greenhouse gas absorbs the most heat, and I need to get water vapor, methane, carbon dioxide, and nitrous oxide. I was wondering if i could buy like bottles of these types of gases, without harming myself or my family. I need to release the gases into 4 different mini-greenhouses, and i’m not sure if its possible. HELP?!! This think counts for 6 test grades!!
What are your thoughts on proposed taxes for greenhouse gases?
Mayor Michael Bloomberg of NYC is proposing a tax on the greenhouse gases businesses produce. Mayor Bloomberg proposes a $15 per ton tax on greenhouses gases that businesses emit with the money gained being rolled into finance tax credits for businesses that reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
Senator Christopher Dodd of Connecticut has also proposed a similar plan to Bloombergs.
